10,000 Chinese terrorists in Turkey and NW Syria.

This makes the Chinese terrorists the 2nd largest foreign group, after the Arabs from various Middle East countries, and ahead of the 7,000 Russian terrorists.

In 2015, the prestigious strategic British forum, Janes Defence Weekly and the IHS stated that about 1000 Chinese terrorists were in NW Syria with another 5000 in Turkey undergoing training.

Now according to a Syrian government source the numbers have reach 5000 fighting in NW Syria, and another 5000 under going training in Turkey, perhaps.

These Chinese terrorists are protected by the Turkish State, as part of its pan-Turanian plans first mooted by the Young Turks, and more belatedly its 'Islamist' tendencies under the AKP. NATO Turkey is itself guided in its security matters by the USA and Israel....fundamentally.

USA journalist Seymour Hersh in his piece Military to Military which notes the following:
[Syria’s ambassador to China Imad Moustapha explained that] ‘China regards the Syrian crisis from three perspectives,’ he said: international law and legitimacy; global strategic positioning; and the activities of jihadist Uighurs, from Xinjiang province in China’s far west. Xinjiang borders eight nations…and, in China’s view, serves as a funnel for terrorism around the world and within China. Many Uighur fighters now in Syria are known to be members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement – an often violent separatist organisation that seeks to establish an Islamist Uighur state in Xinjiang. ‘The fact that they have been aided by Turkish intelligence to move from China into Syria through Turkey has caused a tremendous amount of tension between the Chinese and Turkish intelligence,’ Moustapha said. ‘China is concerned that the Turkish role of supporting the Uighur fighters in Syria may be extended in the future to support Turkey’s agenda in Xinjiang. We are already providing the Chinese intelligence service with information regarding these terrorists and the routes they crossed from on travelling into Syria’ [emphasis added].
"Anthony Davis of IHS-Jane’s Defence Weekly estimated in October that as many as 5,000 Uighur would-be fighters have arrived in Turkey since 2013, with perhaps 2,000 moving on to Syria. Moustapha said he has information that ‘up to 860 Uighur fighters are currently in Syria.’ From Military to Military in the London Review of books, and Seymour Hersh.

Do modern trans-national terrorists fall from the sky like rain?

Do modern trans-national terrorists grow on trees?

Do modern trans-national terrorists grow out of the fertile soil?

No, of course not....modern trans-national terrorists are created by governments around the world.

The two countries most active in this 'enterprise' business are Israel and the USA.

To sustain an small army of terrorists requires $ billions of dollars every year.....and that kind of money can ONLY come from a government, AND usually a rich government which has global strategic plans.

The training, the logistics, the weapons, the ammunition, the auxillary equipment, the medical treatment, the terrorists salary, the transport.....all requires $ billions of dollars....and I use the word dollar for a specific reason.....the CIA and State Department would be responsible for all this, working with the local security aparatus (MIT in the case of Turkey)

Estimates vary as to how many terrorists operate in Syria. Some say 50,000.....others say 100,000. That number of terrorists can only be sustained by a government, like the USA.

The Afghan resistance 1980--1989 only numbered 20,000--30,000 active duty fighters fighting the Soviet occupation military of about 100,000. It cost about $3 billion to sponsor the Afghan resistence annually, with half coming from the USA/Israel/NATO stocks and the other half from the GCC and Saudi Arabia. The same with the Taliban, though of course one would not call them a national resistence force since they were created by the CIA.

BUT where and when did this 'enterprise' business start???

It started with British colonialism and imperialism.

The British had a vast empire that covered many parts of the world, and over time there was local indigenous resistence to empire that was peaceful and legal. It was based on local education, organisation under mass party lines and peaceful struggle through for example demonstrations and pamphleteering. The people in such national organisations were often young modern educated people from the middle-class or even elite groups who, loved their country. Such organisations were often 'SECULAR' and progressive and modernist....fighting for equality of all groups including women, the poor and the illiterate.

To oppose such anti-colonial forces the British organised and funded religious parties, as reactionary conservative forces which harked back to the past and acted as blunting instruments against the anti-colonial struggle:

1. The RSS in India in the 1920's which praised Hitler, and its modern branch the BJP which NOW rules India.

2. The Muslim Brotherhood founded in Egypt in the 1920's, had their first mosque built with British money where they would recruit more followers. The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is important because it would eventually branch out into so many other Islamists groups throughout the world.

3. The the religious leader the Aga Khan was originally from Iran. The British backed him for power but he failed. Forced into exile in India, and then to Europe. The British then focused on recruiting shia mullahs.

4. The Saudi Wahabists, with their highly peculiar and puritanical form of Islam.....helped into power by the British in 1931. They are the main funders of modern international terrorism along with certain GCC countries, and the expertise and organisation provided by the State Department and CIA.

But why would the USA, with its own colonial history of struggle against the British empire adopt and follow a British imperial policy in this modern age, in the 21st century?

In the 1970's a British super spy by the name of Bernard Lewis emigrated to the USA to teach at Princeton University. He sold himself as an 'expert' on Islam and the Middle East. He also coined the term 'Clash of civilisation' and 'Arc of Crisis' which sounded very appealing to many strategic thinkers smarting from the defeat of the USA in the Vietnam war, and the challenges of the Soviet Union.

Bernard Lewis himself was backed by another British agent in the USA Polish aristocrat Zbig Brzezinski, who through the Carter administration implemented the policy of the 'Clash of Civilisation' by overthrowing the Shah of Iran using Islamists mullahs (1977--1979), and trying to topple the Communist government in Afghanistan using Islamists.(1979 July).

I fully respect and understand the Chinese governments decision to abstain from the UNSC vote recently, regarding the false allegations against the Syrian government about a WMD/chemical attack against its own civilians.

HOWEVER, I do feel when there are 10,000 Chinese citizens in 2 foreign countries training, and fighting illegally :

(i) Aganst another sovereign state, and threatening its security, and killing its civilians
(ii) Training and fighting in the hope of acquiring their skills to be used in the future in China
(iii) The victim state of Chinese terrorism is a Socialist country like China, who looks for greater cooperation and friendship....and led by a Socialist Party.

Then perhaps China has RESPONSIBILITY to deal more emphatically with its terrorist citizens in Syria, by public pronunciation and discussion of the PROBLEM, and greater aid to the legitimate government in Syria.

Says China Should Be Concerned About Ultimate Return of Militants

by Jason Ditz, antiwar.com

From the start of the Syrian Civil War, the Islamist rebel factions have been building massive numbers around the recruitment of foreign fighters. This has been a large concern, particularly in Western Europe, where nations fear the thousands of jihadists are eventually going to return home with new military kills and ties to international terrorist groups.
Syrian Ambassador to China thinks that the Beijing government has missed their own problem with all of this, warning that there are estimates that up to 5,000 Chinese Uighurs are fighting in Syria for the assorted Islamist militant factions.
