Iran's defense.

.
.
.
.
I wonder what is the point of the commanders of the Iranian armed forces making such threats?

If the Iranian armed forces are truly powerful, then they should be silent about it, and not make threats and boast.

But can you really have an effective military machine with just 3% of GDP expenditure on defense? Would it not be wiser to spend 10% of GDP on defense at least in the circumstances Iran exists in?

Darius on the eve of his defeat near Parsa still had 3,000 tons of gold in his treasury, which Alexander subsequently looted, and Darius never mobilized or utilized the full potential and resources of the Persian empire against Alexander, for example the fine warrior horsemen from Central Asia.

Donkey mullah Iran needs to mobilize greater resources towards the defense of the country...3% of GDP is too low.

Can Iran be so sure of its defense with just 1800 AA guns. Saddam had 4000 AA guns and he still lost the 1991 war, shooting down a mere 57 Western planes out of the 3000 used against him, in 44 days of fighting?

Its SAM forces are too spread out and weak....with a strange mixture of pre-1979 Western, and post 1979 Russian systems. The Iranians keep talking about mass producing such systems, but where is the evidence for this? The legal action against Russia over the disputed sale of the S-300 suggests Iran is seriously concerned, and yet incapable of acquiring modern and capable SAM systems. This we must conclude from the failure to acquire such a system means that Iran's air defense system is very weak.

The 350 fighter planes of the Iranian air-force is woefully inadequate, with planes mostly dating back from the 1960's and 1970's, and it seems there has not been a serious attempt to mass produce locally manufactured FGA's or procure significant numbers either from China or Russia.

I have focused on air defense and the airforce because those are the first likely targets of any Western aggression against Iran, as was the case against Saddam in 1991, and against Gaddafi in 2011.

Thus given the reality of mullah Iran there will not be any great blows from Iran against any Western aggressors, since Iran's armed forces are woefully weak.

This is how it was in 1941, when the Iranian military on masse ran to their mothers rather than face and fight the enemy.

This is how it was initially in August 1980, when 70% of the Iranian military deserted their posts.

Iran since the days of Nadir Shah 260 years ago, does not have a good record on the battlefield.

The donkey mullah puppet installed by the USA/UK/ Israel have made matters worse.....creating two parallel, competing fighting forces the Artesh and Pasdaran, which will be mobilized to 20 million in war, even though in history no nation on earth has ever mobilized that many people for war. It will be a disaster.....the USA mobilized 12 million men by 1945, after 4 years of gradual build up, but after the defeat of Germany quickly demobilized most of the men back into civilian life)

The donkey mullahs want to block the Persian Gulf thus initiating a International Naval Coalition against Iran which will destroy the Iranian dingy's, as per the Allied Coalition against Nazi Germany.

The donkey mullah's are flexing their naval muscle into the Red Sea, when in reality with the meager defense resources Iran should be focusing on and TALKING /THINKING about defending the homeland, against the Western air-force onslaught.

But since Iran's defense is written for the mullahs by Tel Aviv (transmitted to Iran via Jew Ahmedinejad) and London, what can one expect but such stupidity.....and utterly inane childish comments by its commanders about giving a great blow to Western aggressors with just 1600 tanks, 2000 artillery, 350 old fighter planes, a few SAMs batteries, 1800 mostly light AA's.......and lacking in a professional fighting force.

This is what we must expect from corrupt mullahs.

And when the Western backed invasion takes place ALL the mullahs will be killed and a great many of their supporters by MEK, and the anti-mullah forces seeking revenge for the harsh cruel rule of the mullahs.......slaughtering maybe 3,000,000 Iranians, as has happened in Libya where 50,000 people have died and Iraq where 1,400,000 people have died after the Western intervention.

Iran vows huge blow to any attacks

By Presstv.com

A top Iranian Army commander has lauded the Islamic Republic's huge ground defense achievements, saying Iran's Armed Forces will deliver "the most severe response" to any likely threat posed by enemies.

Iran is equipped with the most advanced military hardware while our Armed Forces are fully prepared to defend the country's border regions, said Iran's Commander of the Ground Forces Brigadier-General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan on Wednesday.

He added that Iran has succeeded in developing great capabilities and making significant progress in the fields of electronic war and cyber defense, Mehr news agency reported.

“The Iranian Army's Ground Forces are regularly detecting potential threats and have been preparing for (countering) them,” he stated.

The United States and Israel have repeatedly threatened Tehran with the "option" of a military strike, based on the allegation that Iran's nuclear work may consist of a covert military agenda.

Iran says its nuclear program is completely peaceful and within the framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to which it is a signatory.

Pourdastan further said that the Iranian Army's Ground Forces and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) are monitoring moves by the Party for Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK) terrorist group in northwestern Iran.

Currently, there is no problem in Iran's land, sea and air borders, the senior Iranian commander pointed out.

He emphasized that PJAK terrorist group doesn't rise to the level of being referred to as a threat and said Iran gives firm response to the cell's desperate moves.

On Monday, the IRGC refused to accept a ceasefire offer by PJAK terrorists, urging them to immediately leave Iran's border areas.

“We demand that PJAK terrorist group should first withdraw from Iran's border regions. The announcement of a ceasefire has no meaning at the present,” an IRGC spokesman Colonel Hamid Ahmadi said.

In a Saturday statement, PJAK -- an offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) -- called for a ceasefire with Tehran upon the request of some “mediation parties” on the ground and what it claimed was its belief in “peaceful solutions.”

PJAK members regularly engage in armed clashes with Iranian security forces along the country's western borders with Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region.

Nearly 30 terrorists had been killed or injured in the recent IRGC operations.

Iran has recently deployed 5,000 military forces in the northwest of the country, along its common border with the Iraqi Kurdistan region, to fight terrorist groups.
