Shock and Awe Modern American military doctrine

AND.....This is what happens to a Third World military when it attempts to maneuver in its own territory out in the open, at day and night, without air-defense and air-cover......NO SAMs, Light SAMs, and AA guns......NO airforce.

What is Shock and Awe?

"Shock and Awe (technically known as rapid dominance) is a military doctrine based on the use of overwhelming power, dominant battlefield awareness, dominant maneuvers, and spectacular displays of force to paralyze an adversary's perception of the battlefield and destroy its will to fight. The doctrine was written by Harlan K. Ullman and James P. Wade in 1996 and is a product of the National Defense University of the United States."

What this is translated into, in the initial stages, is that the target will be attacked by massive Ariel bombings by planes, stealth planes, heavy bombers, drones and cruise missiles.

These things in the air will attack the Capital City, where most government buildings are, to weaken the government, and its ability to run the country, and control the people, military installations, industrial installations, and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, dams, and even canals.
