The USA acquired the Philippines, and domination over Cuba, Mexico......psychologically the whole of Latin America, and in addition the Jews (with their religion focused on victim-hood) finally had their revenge against Spain for expelling them 400 years earlier.
It is a nation that must inevitably decline, with China replacing it in a few years, economically, industrially and militarily.
For now however it still has a $15,000 billion economy, with $3350 billion devoted to industry......and still the leading nation on earth in terms of technology.

Tragically given its enormous human potential it is sadly focused on producing some of the best military technology in the world.
