Hagel, can he officially, explicitly reject Neocon PNAC 2000?

Hagel: US ‘Can’t Dictate to the World’

In his first speech as Defense Secretary, Hagel called for renewing old alliances and building new ones

by John Glaser, Antiwar.com
In his first speech as Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel told an audience of US troops and defense officials at the Pentagon that the US should engage with the world instead of try to dictate to it.

“We can’t dictate to the world, but we must engage with the world,” he said. “That engagement in the world should be done wisely. And the resources that we employ on behalf of our country and our allies should always be applied wisely.”

Hagel was confirmed by the Senate on Tuesday in a 58-41 vote, which according to The Washington Post was “the narrowest approval ever for a defense secretary nominee.”

Much of Hagel’s speech seemed to indirectly rebut the Bush administration’s strong-arm, with-us-or-against-us diplomatic approach, making clear also that he would not support wars he viewed as unnecessary.

“I’ll never ask anyone to do anything I wouldn’t do,” he said, and he emphasized “renew[ing] old alliances” and “reach[ing] out” to “build new alliances.”

Hagel also addressed impending defense budget cuts, notably leaving out the doomsday scenarios warned about by his predecessor, Leon Panetta.

Sequestration “is a reality,” he said. “We need to figure this out.”

Peace and justice at last?

The EU might face financial collapse....led by the pigs.

The USA may face financial collapse led by Wall Street speculation and corruption.

In such a uncertain scenario why hedge for a  PROTRACTED WAR, against a 78 million nation backed by Russia and China, for the long term?

Why not settle for negotiations, compromise, peace, co-existence, official above board cooperation rather than uncertain fishing expeditions of speculation, paranioa, arrogance, misunderstanding and brinkmanship?

The West must learn to live with faulty Third World Iran.

The UK/USA originally brought the mullahs into power related to oil politics, and this grave error should not be further exasperated by a long official military war against one of the most reliable former ally of the USA, otherwise dubbed the 'policeman of the Persian Gulf"....for the USA.

The Jewish elite expressed through Hollywood would still like a good war where blood is spilled of the "other" "Goyim", but can rational men of vision and  good will dictate otherwise?

Iran Cheers Latest Offer as ‘Turning Point’ in Negotiations With West

Iran Would Not Have to Close Uranium Enrichment Site, Could Keep Medical Isotope Fuel

by Jason Ditz at antiwar.com

Iranian officials were upbeat today at what was described as a “realistic” series of offers by Western officials at the ongoing P5+1 talks in Kazakhstan, saying they marked a major turning point in the talks.
The exact details of the concessions are not all public knowledge yet, but reportedly includes allowing Iran to continue to produce medical isotopes and an offer to relax sanctions, including an end to the ban on petrochemical trades, in return for a “suspension” of enrichment at Fordo.

This is a major shift on two fronts, as previous reports had the West only offering to allow Iran a trivial amount of grey-market gold bartering and had demanding not just a suspension of Fordo, but a complete dismantling of the facility.

No deal has been agreed to yet, but the potential seems to be there, with both sides agreeing to a side meeting in mid-March in Istanbul to discuss details and a follow-up in Kazakhstan in early April, potentially for a final agreement.

Talentless weirdo pedophile, mass rapist, sex predator, alleged necrophiliac and murderer Sir James Wilson Vincent "Jimmy" Savile OBE KCSG, was hailed by the British elite at a very personal level, and visibly protected for 40 years by the establishment once it became known for what he really was in the early 1980's, given his obvious natural habits.

There was no contrition on the part of the British establishment, as he was hailed to the very last.

Why did the police, military, politicians, celebrity and monarchy feel so comfortable and chummy with such a talentless piece of shit, who had no education and came from a working class background, in one of the most stratified class conscious societies on earth?

Obama to Inform Netanyahu of Plans for Summer Iran War

Will Urge Israel to 'Sit Tight' And Let US Start War

by Jason Ditz,at antiwar.com

According to unnamed officials quoted by Israel’s Channel 10, President Obama is planning to inform Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of his intention to attack Iran this summer, with June beginning the “window of opportunity” for his next war.
Secretary of State John Kerry said in a press conference earlier today that time is “running out” for diplomacy, and it seems that the next P5+1 talks are being set up as the “last chance” for Iran to give in to assorted US demands before being attacked.

President Obama will reportedly inform Israel of this decision during his upcoming visit next month, and will ask Netanyahu to “sit tight” and stop talking up the war for a few months until the US can get it off the ground unilaterally.

The US has been setting the stage for a June war since last year, when Obama had likewise reassured Israel in the lead-up to elections that a US war would be launched by June 2013, an effort to keep Israel from starting the war ahead of the US vote.

It should be noted that a June war would be extremely problematic on a number of levels, including Iran having a June 14 presidential election to replace outgoing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

(Ahmedinejad is a Secret Jew, who has baited Israel the most out of ALL Iranian leaders...mullahs or otherwise. The Jewish anti-Iran narrative will be deprived of such a colorful Jewish vaudeville character inside Iran after June 2013...Presidents in Iran can only serve two terms)

Moreover, previous reports of a “war date” being set by the administration have not panned out.
Netanyahu has been making much of the “red line” of Iran’s civilian enrichment program growing more efficient, despite the UN confirming that Iran keeps diverting the civilian uranium to civilian uses and the stockpile is not getting considerably larger than its been. He has presented summer as a likely time to start a war, and any US pledge might be designed more to placate him than around any intention to actually go through with it.

Most of Iran’s uranium is enriched to 3.5 percent, for the Bushehr electricity plant, while a small fraction is further enriched to 20 percent, the level needed for the US-built Tehran Research Reactor, which makes medical isotopes.

Indeed, US intelligence agencies have repeatedly conceded in “threat assessments” that Iran’s program is purely civilian and that there is “no decision” by Iran to even attempt to make a nuclear weapon.

Why the Nazi Germany type production of multiple models, and the ultimate production of just 1 or 2 weapon systems of the same type.

Nazi Germany 1933-1945, lost WWII for many reasons (1939-45).

They lost primarily because the Jewish bankers who brought them into power, intended them to lose finally and ultimately after they had achieved a set of covert objectives for the International Jewish bankers based in London, New York, Basle, Zurich, Paris and Frankfurt.

There is no need to discus what these objectives were for the Jewish bankers, who ruled the Third Reich through Martin Bormann their point man, and the whole cabal of  German secret Jews such as Eichmann, Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Hermann Göring, Martin Heidegger, Rudolf Hess, Reinhard Heydrich.

Iran is a bit like Nazi Germany, and I suppose the International Jewish bankers who brought the mullahs into power in 1979, have standard blue prints for such regime change, and turning otherwise peaceful civilized societies upside down.

The Internationals Jews have brought the mullahs into power through the UK/USA States, and yet are expending a great deal of energy demonizing their secret protege.

Another reason Nazi Germany lost besides the main one above is that despite being the 2nd greatest industrial power in 1941, Nazi German production of military hardware was completely confusing and illogical.

The famous Teutonic myth of organization, precision and simple logic was missing in the all important area of armaments production. Nazi Germany produced no less than 8 different armored vehicles simultaneously in 1944, and an array of over engineered expensive tanks....whereas one simple tank should have been produced in their place. In aircraft production it was even more complicated. All Germany needed was one simple FGA --Fighter Ground Attack (one plane which dog fights, attacks allied bombers, can also attack ground targets)....and yet according to wikipedia they produced..these wonderful array of models:

Primary aircraft

This list does not primarily include projects, prototypes or captured aircraft but consists mostly of the most common aircraft of the German Luftwaffe that participated in the Second World War. A full list of project aircraft and captured aircraft can be found at list of RLM aircraft designations in the form of the Reich Aviation Ministry's list of aircraft.
See ALSO German aircraft production during World War II for the most produced types.

German military aircraft, 1919–1945

While the Luftwaffe was not public until 1935, it had been in development in secret since the 1920s, and many aircraft made in the inter-war years were used during World War II.

Fighters and interceptors

Bombers and ground attack

Patrol and reconnaissance

Transports and utility

Captured aircraft

Utterly senseless ! and the Germans didn't even mobilize the whole economy for war...or about 80% of GDP, as the British and Japanese had done. Women were excluded from the serious business of war.

The Nazi German uniforms, designed by the homosexuals in the Nazi party (gay people sometimes have good fashion sense) and German military equipment are/were aesthetically pleasing, and sexy to look at.....

BUT......given the industrial base, the country could have produced 200,000 medium and light tanks instead of just 50,000....AND 300,000--400,000 Aircraft instead of just 120,000 .V1 and V2 were held back for use in the battlefield by Hitler personally until it was too late, and their subsequent use would have inconsequential effects.........literally millions of these pioneering state of the art weapons could have been used.

BUT let us not confuse the basic human desire for aesthetics in all things with what was essentially an experiment regime of the Jewish bankers, which was utterly evil especially towards Germans(10 million dead) and Soviets (30 million dead)

Imagine if the regime was resupplied and retooled through neutral Sweden by the International Jewish bankers through into 1955......instead of 60 million dead there could have been 150 million dead in the world.

So on to Nazi mullah Iran.....it too has similar weapons systems, which does not have one central weapons production authorization agency. In Iran different agencies have different weapons priorities, programs, and projects. Thats OK if you are a superpower such as China  and the USA, with massive industrial bases, but not in the case of Iran.

So the mullahs say they have produced a new shoulder fired lt. SAMs....good. Maybe the mullahs can produce 20,000 of such systems equipped with 1,000,000 missiles. AND yet the mullahs are already producing such systems through reverse engineering, so why produce so many different models?

The mullahs like the Soviet Union must learn to produce just a few good military hardware, through mass production at various underground facilities...thats all.

IRGC tests new shoulder-launched anti-aircraft gun

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has tested a shoulder-launched anti-aircraft gun, which can be used to shoot down any helicopter intruding into Iranian airspace.
The spokesman for the Payambar-e Azam 8 (The Great Prophet 8) war games, Brigadier General Hamid Sarkheili, said on Saturday that the new weapon was domestically designed and developed by IRGC defense technicians.

He added that the 20-mm caliber weapon can target helicopters at a distance of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet).

The IRGC Ground Forces started the Payambar-e Azam 8 exercise, which includes practice maneuvers of various defense tactics, in the southeastern province of Kerman on Saturday.

Special modern warfare units conducted drills, asymmetrical warfare tactics were practiced, and various types of unmanned aerial vehicles were tested on the first day of the war games.

On Saturday, the deputy commander of the IRGC Ground Forces said that the Great Prophet 8 maneuver is being held to practice passive defense in asymmetrical warfare through the use of various techniques and tactics.

Brigadier General Abdullah Araqi added that the IRGC Ground Forces are improving their defensive capabilities.

Over the past few years, Iran has held several war games to enhance the defense capabilities of its armed forces and to test modern military equipment and practice tactics.

Iran: Get the Gun Out of Our Face, and We’ll Negotiate

John Glaser, at antiwar.com

Both Nation reporter Robert Dreyfuss and Harvard professor Stephen Walt point today to a speech given by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in which he explains why America’s rhetoric about returning to negotiations are perceived as dishonest. Do read both of their articles.

Khamenei accurately cites a catalog of aggressive policies Washington has leveled against Iran, like “crippling” sanctions, surrounding Iran militarily, supporting Israel as it assassinates Iran’s civilian scientists, waging cyber-warfare, verbal threats of war, supporting Iran’s enemies in a deliberate attempt to undermine the regime, etc. etc. Then he says:
Now the Americans have raised the issue of negotiations again. They repeat that America is prepared to directly negotiate with Iran. This is not new. The Americans have repeatedly raised the issue of negotiations at every juncture. Now their newly appointed politicians repeat that we should negotiate. And they say that the ball is in Iran’s court.
It is you who should explain the meaning of negotiations that are accompanied by pressure and threats. Negotiations are for the sake of proving one’s goodwill. You commit tens of acts which show lack of goodwill and then you speak about negotiations. Do you expect the Iranian nation to believe that you have goodwill?… We do not see any goodwill.
Speaking a day earlier than Khamenei here, President Ahmadinejad summed it up more succinctly: “Take your guns out of the face of the Iranian nation and I myself will negotiate with you.”

And Iran’s UN Ambassador Mohammed Khazaee, in a discussion with former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Pickering this month, said: ”As long as pressure is on Iran, as long as there is a sword on our neck to come to negotiations, this is not negotiations, therefore Iranians cannot accept that.”

It’s not just Iranians who perceive this underlying theme in the US-Iran relationship. American academics and officials, experts in US foreign policy, also recognize it. After the failed talks in 2009 and 2010, wherein Obama ended up rejecting the very deal he demanded the Iranians accept, as Walt has written, the Iranian leadership “has good grounds for viewing Obama as inherently untrustworthy.” Former CIA analyst Paul Pillar has concurred, arguing that Iran has “ample reason” to believe, “ultimately the main Western interest is in regime change.”

And Vali Nasr, former senior adviser to Richard Holbrooke, Obama’s special representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan and a leading Middle East expert writes in his new book that, for the Obama administration, “Pressure has become an end in itself.” They spoke of a dual track that consists of diplomacy and pressure, but, Nasr writes, it was “not even dual. It relied on one track, and that was pressure.”

“Engagement,” he adds, “was a cover for a coercive campaign of sabotage, economic pressure and cyberwarfare.”

Walt wonders out loud why the US seems unwilling to let up on the pressure:
So why do so many smart people keep embracing an approach to Iran that is internally contradictory and has consistently failed for more than a decade? I’m not entirely sure, but I suspect it has a lot to do with maintaining credibility inside Washington. Because Iran has been demonized for so long, and absurdly cast as the Greatest National Security Threat we face, it has become largely impossible for anyone to speak openly of a different approach without becoming marginalized. Instead, you have to sound tough and hawkish even if you are in favor of negotiations, because that’s the only way to be taken seriously in the funhouse world of official Washington (see under: the Armed Services Committee hearings on Chuck Hagel).
Yeah, it’s that. But it’s also that US grand strategy for a long time has been to maintain its own hegemony in the resource rich Middle East. Dominance, not diplomacy, is the goal.

Iran's justice system works sometimes

From what I understand, Iran does not allow foreign banks to operate in the country, and thus with such a policy Iran is de-linked from the International Jewish dominated banking system. This makes the country less vulnerable to Soros type of capital raids and speculation which bedeviled many Asian countries.

On the other hand corrupt illiterate mullahs who run huge charities called Bonyads can't be good for the economy. Hashemi Rafsanjani is a mullah and a billionaire, who has used his political office to become one of the richest men in the country, through illegal wheeling and dealing...amazing for a humble one time corporal who was originally fired from the Shah's military for spreading Islamism. He reinvented himself as a mullah, without the obligatory beard, hitched on board the Iranian Islamic revolution and has never looked back since. We have yet to see a high profile mullah charged with corruption. And then there is the Larijani brothers.....and so forth.
Then there is the issue of why Iranian ex-patriots have taken $1,500,000,000,000 out of the country, and why the mullahs allowed them to. Most poor country's have stringent capital flight laws.

Capital Flight is defined by Wikipedia as:

"Capital flight, in economics, occurs when assets or money rapidly flow out of a country, due to an event of economic consequence. Such events could be an increase in taxes on capital or capital holders or the government of the country defaulting on its debt that disturbs investors and causes them to lower their valuation of the assets in that country, or otherwise to lose confidence in its economic strength. This leads to a disappearance of wealth, and is usually accompanied by a sharp drop in the exchange rate of the affected country - depreciation in a variable exchange rate regime, or a forced devaluation in a fixed exchange rate regime. This fall is particularly damaging when the capital belongs to the people of the affected country, because not only are the citizens now burdened by the loss of faith in the economy and devaluation of their currency, but probably also their assets have lost much of their nominal value. This leads to dramatic decreases in the purchasing power of the country's assets and makes it increasingly expensive to import goods.

Illegal capital flight, also known as illicit financial flows, is intended to disappear from any record in the country of origin and earnings on the stock of illegal capital flight outside of a country generally do not return to the country of origin."

In 1995, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimated that capital flight amounted to roughly half of the outstanding foreign debt of the most heavily indebted countries of the world.Capital flight was seen in some Asian and Latin American markets in the 1990s. The Argentine economic crisis of 2001 was in part the result of massive capital flight, induced by fears that Argentina would default on its external debt (the situation was made worse by the fact that Argentina had an artificially low fixed exchange rate and was dependent on large levels of reserve currency). This was also seen in Venezuela in the early 1980s with one year's total export income leaving through illegal capital flight. In the last quarter of the 20th century, capital flight was observed from countries that offer low or negative real interest rate (like Russia and Argentina) to countries that offer higher real interest rate (like the People's Republic of China)

A 2008 paper, authorized by Raymond Baker, Director of the Global Financial Integrity estimated illicit financial flows "out of developing countries are some $850 billion to $1 trillion a year". This study also found that China, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico accounted for the three largest shares of worldwide illicit financial flows.

Russia, and India are excellent examples of countries which have suffered Capital Flight:

"The fight against capital outflows boils down to fighting against the reluctance of a country's inhabitants to invest in their own economy. As long as investments abroad are incomparably more attractive than investments at home, the small reductions in returns on foreign assets produced by administrative barriers to capital outflows cannot be expected to significantly slow these outflows. The key factors in limiting capital outflows are not administrative measures, but rather a sensible tax system and legislation, and balanced budget policies that stimulate rather than impede investment in " Capital Flight: What it is and how to Combat it? by

O. V. Dynnikova"The role of corruption in impelling capital flight. Identifying corruption as one dimension of poor governance, the empirical analysis explores direct linkages between corruption and capital flight in a broad sample of countries. The novelty of this investigation is that it is based on a portfolio choice model of asset allocation that explicitly recognizes corruption as contributing to the variance of domestic investment risk. The main testable proposition emerging from our theoretical specification is stated thus: does corruption impel capital flight by raising the risk of domestic investment, ceteris paribus?
An econometric analysis suggests that, holding other determinants of capital flight constant, corruption does have a positive and significant impact on capital flight.

Based on these results, the paper concludes that advocating good governance by combating corruption makes a great deal of sense for countries aiming to staunch capital flight.

Capital flight and corruption are some of the main causes of the poverty in the South. Without capital flight and corruption the debt crisis would not exist in its current form. Capital Flight and Corruption Treaty NGO Alternative Treaties at the 1992 Global Forum"

According to Transparency International Iran is 133 in the league table of all 194 sovereign states in terms of corruption and transparency......Afghanistan, Somalia and North Korea are at the bottom at 174.

Iran to be effective and efficient Iran must wage jihad against corruption. It is good that Iran prosecutes the thieves who steal $1 or 2 billion from the poor country, but what about the $1,500,000,000,000 which has left the country through the back door?

Iran to Execute 4 Bankers on Fraud Charges

from Black Listed News

Iran’s judiciary system recently worked through the biggest banking fraud case in the nation’s history.

According to The New York Times, the outcome of the case was made official on Monday. Results were dramatic to say the least.

Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei told reporters that four people had been officially sentenced to death on charges of corruption and “disrupting the country’s economic system.”

The guilty party was responsible for mishandling $2.6 billion of funds – using forged documents in order to receive credit from banks, permitting them to purchase state-owned companies.
From PressTV:

According to the indictment, the owners of Aria Investment Development Company, which is at the center of the controversy, had bribed bank managers to get loans and letters of credit. The company has more than 35 offshoots which are active in diverse business activities.

The four are Mahafarid Amir-Khosravi…[the prime suspect], Behdad Behzadi, his legal advisor, Iraj Shoja, his financial solicitor and Saeed Kiani Rezazadeh, head of the Ahvaz branch of Saderat Bank,” he [Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei] said.

Additionally, the president of the Bank Melli branch in Kish was condemned to life in prison. The former deputy minister Khodamorad Ahmadi has been ordered to spend a decade in prison as well, according to Iran’s attorney general, Mohseni-Ejei.

Several others involved in this infamous scandal have also been slapped with heavy fines and many have also been prohibited from holding public office.

Economist Nouriel Roubini added his two cents on the subject, reporting to Bloomberg:
“Bankers are greedy; they’ve been greedy for the last hundreds of years…t’s not a question if they are more immoral today then they were a thousand years ago, you have to make sure they behave in ways in which you minimize those risks.”
This message surely hits a little too close to home for central bankers across the globe who have been engaged with fraud and corruption in the past or present.

Constituents and political leaders spend a big chunk of time debating over how to deal with our crumbling economy. Ending system abuse from insiders and the Fed alike would undoubtedly have a positive ripple effect, but how is that goal going to be achieved? Thus far, not a single chief central banker has been arrested in light of the financial crisis.

This is completely asinine.

They keep making more money, while we struggle to thrive in the middle class. The brutal truth is that banks prosper when people are on welfare. They’re invested in keeping you down and could care less about your American Dream.

Perhaps Iran is on to something by enforcing real consequences when insiders mess with the country’s entire economic system. The death sentence decision is obviously harsh (Iran’s justice system is pretty harsh in general). Alas, what’s decided cannot be undone. They said they are trying to set an example.

Elite criminals shouldn’t be treated differently than any other criminal; they should be prosecuted, not protected.
