Sticks and Stones........

This article confirms what is a commonly held belief in Pakistan, that a lot of the so called 'Islamic fundamentalist fighters' in Pakistan are fronts for Western, and Israeli intelligence destabilization programs against Pakistan.

And one assumes Pakistan is a purely innocent bystander in all this? That the ISI since its inception in 1948, and the Pakistan military never indulged in a love affair with fundies, and used them as tools in East Pakistan (1971 al-Badr, Razakars), Afghanistan (1978--2001? Mujaheddin of the most extreme Hekmatyar variety, and the Taliban) and India (1990--2005)? That the ISI always without fail backed the most religiously extreme obscurantist groups (Hekmatyar, Taliban) over moderate, pious, rational, educated Afghans.

Why?

And we are surprised when it all blows back, with the blessing of the Americans and others, 'Pakistan's ally'?

You can always throw stones at others at the behest of Sahibji in the background, and that one day the 'others' might throw the same stones at you.

This is not to say Pakistan deserves it, in a reap what you sow kind of a way, but.............one wonders about the wisdom of the Pakistan military and intelligence who for so many years followed this fundamentalist doctrine without thinking out the consequences of it for Pakistan.

A military security strategy beyond your borders only works when you are a major power in your geographical area, but not for a country like Pakistan, which for so long has been beholden to the USA. They can and have applied the veto over the Pak military, and all such adventures come to an end.

And now matters have reached such a critical juncture that only bold steps, by the Pakistan armed forces the only cohesive structured organization, can save the current situation in Pakistan. The politicians in Pakistan are worse than worthless. Whatever their excuse they have not provided credible direction for the country, and seem to be only involved in politics for their own gains over the serious consequences for their country. In that sense the Pakistan military is a little bit more patriotic than the politicians.

The article from Pakistan is posted below and my comments in brackets; Followed by my conclusions.

General Kayani Must Not Blink.........

From Pakistan Daily 14th September.

Now the ball is in General Kayani’s court; will he be the one to blink first? Will he be forced by his civilian masters – Zardari and Gilani not to follow up on his promise and become subject of ridicule? Clearly, the U.S. is stung by Pakistan discovering who is the real enemy.

(I don't think the Americans are surprised by General Kiyani's comments, or for that matter give a pigs ass about what ordinary Pakistanis think; have they ever over the last 61 years?......What Kiyani said was inevitable given the pressure from the rank and file no doubt (the majority of whom fortunately have not been sent to the United States to be micro-chipped (60's to 70's technology) and trained there or Bilaat, and who are still good Pakistanis who have not suddenly come to fortune),

Even though he was backed by the Americans into his new post last year, and trained in the West, and once headed the ISI. He is their man; you don't get such key positions in the Pakistan military, without the vetting and nod from Washington. Maybe annoyed is a better word.....the Americans want it their way, which is not good for Pakistan obviously.

Kiyani's comments are merely words at this stage; we shall have to see how that translates into action on the ground......will he for example post additional heavily armed combat troops from other parts of the country, on the FATA/Afghan border in large strong battalion formations, to challenge any future incursion into Pakistani sovereign territory? Let us say 50,000 or so........otherwise its just words, bluster..........maybe even an elaborate Punch and Judy show, and if the Americans think that is all it is, then the attacks might continue and intensify..........

And the corrupt politicians and the Western trained senior officers are the enablers of Pakistan's destruction.......But, however......if ......General Kiyani were to.....)

As to the Air-chief and his comments about petrol fights in that area, again this could be just window dressing.....symbolic.......flying junk in that area is not enough, Pakistan needs an additional 50,000 ground troops in that area (800,000 out of the armed forces and militia):

(additional comments from ICH site)

General Kiyani’s Handicap

Much has been made of the recent statement by General Kiyani about stopping US attacks on Pakistani territory. Yesterday it was reported PAF jets have started flights over North Waziristan suggesting Pakistan was ready to strike back at US forces. But is it really the case? If we look back at the recent F-16 deal, it appears there is no such possibility and these F-16 flights are just for public consumption.

The most important thing to look at is the “unprecedented” conditions attached by U.S. to the sale of F-16s to Pakistan. These include, among others, “a US (personnel’s) presence at Pakistani bases for very stringent monitoring of these jet fighters (for about 30 years).” In addition, these F-16s

– will be unable to operate in a heavily defended air space of another country (read: India, Afghanistan)

– will only be able to fly for a limited duration in a foreign country’s air space

will be only able to fly missions approved by the U.S.

– will be unable to carry atomic weapons

– would not have electronic warfare (EW) programming capabilities for their radar warning receiver (RWR). This means that these aircraft will have a pre-installed threat library and its RWR will only be able to identify non-NATO aircraft (meaning they can’t even see the U.S./NATO aircraft; same has to be true in case of the helicopter gunships possessed by Pakistan)

“A further disturbing revelation is the remark by senior US official John Hillen that the United States wanted to have access and influence in Pakistan and other similar nations through this strategic and military-to-military relationship precisely to prevent China from having that kind of relationship.” Also by signing this $5 billion plus deal, U.S. effectively prevented Pakistan from purchasing the Mirage fighters as this deal took care of all the money.

The conditions imposed as mentioned above are only those that have been made public. It should also be pointed out that the F-16s can be shut down anytime by transmitting a simple message to them.

Looking at these conditions it becomes clear that the F-16s were never intended for purposes sold to the public but to attack “militants” locally in the “war on terror”. That fact can be confirmed from yesterday’s report on the “Defeating al Qaeda’s Air Force: Pakistan’s F-16 Program in the Fight Against Terrorism” hearings (al Qaeda’s Air Force?) Also note the statement proudly made by Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed at the start of the delivery of these F-16s:

“These are exceptionally used aircraft and are being given to us at very nominal prices,” meaning they are essentially pieces of flying junk.

An interesting editorial to read on the F-16 affair is that by former ambassador Javid Husain on implications of the F-16 deal.

OK, OK so Pakistan has other fighter planes besides F-16..........but the point is that the action is on the ground..........and that is where we need to see some real commitment towards meaningfully defending Pakistan's sovereignty, and one may add long term integrity.

Pakistan has decided to liquidate the so-called ‘Pakistani Taliban’ and is succeeding with popular support. It has become apparent that the insurgency in the FATA and elsewhere in NWFP is aided and abetted by the U.S. It wants to weaken the control of the federal government over the provinces and regions of Pakistan and it does not care whether it is achieved by Islamists or by ethnic nationalists. It supports the BLA as well as Baitullah Mehsud. It maintains its contacts with the MQM, the ANP, Baloch Nationalists as well as the JUI. It came to court the PPP as it concluded it was not overly concerned with ‘national interests’.

I assume the writer is Punjabi with a very small p, hence he has attacked all the parties in Pakistan, except the PML, owned by Sharif. All the parties in Pakistan are a problem, there isn't one party better than the others. The whole political system is corrupted; run by gangsters.......because that is the type Americans and London Sahib feel comfortable with and like to business with, and in a sense the likes of Zardari reinforce their racist perspective of South Asians.

And so Zardari, Mr. 10% or now Mr. 100% will be greeted with red carpets and glad hands.........he is after all their little coolie.

Yes General Musharaf was ousted in an American/Neocon coup. Yes Zardari is their even more obedient, more corrupt yes man who is always in the GULF or in LONDON watching his investments/loot.

The elite of Pakistan are a problem.......the 30 business families and the 500 Sardar families are a problem......AND the top military brass of Pakistan are a problem ...........a bunch corrupt cliques running Pakistan, all of whom have clear channels to Washington and London, smiling, shaking hands, grateful, happy, content, easy,......... BUT not to the wishes and general desires of the Pakistani people.

Just maybe the ordinary Pakistani people know better and it might be a smart thing to listen and follow their desires, and base ones POWER and LEGITIMACY on this solid ground, rather then rely on the support of Bilaat sahib and Washington Sahib........Don't believe me? Ask Field Marshal Ayub Khan in 1974, or PM Bhutto in 1979, or General Yahya in 1980, or General Zia Ul Haq in 1988 in Behest hopefully.........or General/President Musharaf in 2008.

Pakistan is nervous; it cannot believe that the United States can turn on its ally so fast and so easy. President Bush has proclaimed a new war theater in Pakistan alongside Iraq and Afghanistan. But President Bush is dead wrong; the nature of the war in the three countries in quite different.

I can believe..............I have said so many a year..........Really to believe that a nation such as Pakistan filled with a mixture of brown Indic people and Iranians, founded on Islam and becoming more Islamic could be friends with America, a nation run by Jews............with a strong Christian fundamentalist constituency (40%------strong representations in the American armed forces) was/is being very naive. Of course it is very natural that a nation such as Pakistan should look up to the USA the richest most powerful nation in the world which has a habit of groping after little Third World countries, which incidentally has many great things going for it, but after the experience of 1965 there should have been a decisive learning curve, and a wake up call.

Pakistan was never an ally of the USA, from the all important American perspective. Pakistan is and has always been toilet paper for the USA, use and dispose.

I'll help you overcome your delusions, and tell you for free who can be trusted to be Pakistan's close allies, ...........INDIA (as time progresses it will become harder to establish long term meaningful peace with India.....the Jew is working hard in India........the ever timely bombing incidents in India, and security agreements between the two.......the Jew is busy whispering to India that mighty India needs Israel's help) AND BANGLADESH. Long term very close security allies........eternal allies......not fair weather 'friends'.

Then the next tier of reliable allies are Iran (Pakistan and Iran face the same enemies); Afghanistan, when the coalition eventually vacates, and yes China, a nation that has supplied Pakistan with arms at critical juncture, and has participated in strategic projects at very fair and reasonable rates. No fair weather friendship here over the last 40 years. But let me be honest with you, such a friendship is not because the Chinese 'love' Pakistanis, but because the Chinese see Pakistan as a useful tool against India.....that's it...that honestly is it.

I'll tell you about nations who aren't and can't be real allies of Pakistan. The Gulf States and Saudi Arabia aren't real allies of Pakistan but the funder's of covert and dangerous ops in the vicinity of Pakistan, which have only harmed Pakistan in the long term......no long detailed history offered here....but you understand where I am coming from. In addition, at least since the late nineteenth century the Gulf states and Saudi have been pawns of the British empire.

And of course the USA and the UK aren't and have never been allies of Pakistan....it goes without saying.

In Iraq, the resistance to U.S. occupation is organized by sectarian militias that are not excluded from participation in politics; they even have representation in government.
In Afghanistan, the resistance is carried out primarily by the Pashtun majority, which is represented in government only by traitors and turncoats.

In both cases then the 'resistance' have some representation in the central government. So why the resistance? Because American occupation is so badly managed, overseen by Israel in the case of Iraq, and I imagine that a lot of the killing has been initiated by the occupiers in revenge for 9/11, and for being Muslim, and brown.

Pakistan is not occupied. (not yet) In Pakistan, the main terrorist organization - Tehrik Taliban Pakistan (TTP) – has political aims and it seeks to capture and control territory. The TTP is sponsored by the CIA, which provides it money, weapons and equipment.

( The CIA is a problem, But do not leave out the activities of the British who have a history in this region didn't you know, Israel.......etc...The TTP is very small, and isolated to one area of Pakistan and has very little credibility.......they must be dealt with of course, but in doing so the Raj Punjab Police Force must make sure......not to alienate the Pashtun people in that area in a STUPID East Pakistan kind of a way..........Strong deep liaison between the Pakistan army and local leaders, and no operations conducted on false intelligence....there must be verifications at various levels before ops against the TTP commences; the identification of the camps inside Afghanistan where they are being trained, and SSG ops against these camps inside Afghanistan. If Turkey can go after the PKK in Northern Iraq, then why can't Pakistan, a nuclear power........are Pakistanis less than Turks? The Pakistanis have the verifiable evidence.)

All the three countries – Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan – are similar in that the American aim is the same: to fragment the nation and impose unpopular/weak governments that will bend to U.S. will.

(Actually that is a Zionist policy affecting many countries.........not just the above three....it doesn't stop there......Neo-colonialism for Jews and Israel......Eretz Israel.

The first step against Pakistan has already begun.......the fighting in FATA, bombs going off every where.......and the imposition of Mr. 10%.

1) The trajectory is greater destabilization.

2) The political rule through Mafia Don Zardari gets worse and worse.

3) The USA tells the world that the Pak nukes need to be secured eventually.

To combat this trajectory, suggestions are given below......its easy, simple and logical. THE PAKISTAN PEOPLE WILL SUPPORT SUCH A POLICY, EVEN THOUGH BILAAT SHAHIB OR WASHINGTON SAHIB WON'T, and will conspire against it accordingly.

And it might save Pakistan. But we need the courage and imagination of the Mahmud of Ghazni's, Allauddin Khilji's, Babur's, Akbar, Sher Shah, Tipu Sultan's and yes Jinnah's in Pakistan.

We need the Mir Jafars removed.

It is at this point we need to find out who betrayed Musharaf, and how one can stand united against a common threat (Though obviously Musharaf had his faults, and I am not suggesting he be reinstated)

Although the story came out several weeks ago, the people of Pakistan are still stunned by the revelation that the TTP is CIA sponsored. The public first came to know of this in the newspapers that during the visit of Prime Minister Gilani to the U.S., his staff showed evidence of CIA support to TTP.

It Mr. Gilani some courage to tell U.S. that the ‘foreign support’ to Baitullah Mehsud came from the U.S. One thought it would put the U.S. on the defensive that those being accused and targeted by America for cross-border raids have been trained and supported by the U.S. Instead, the U.S. ratcheted up its propaganda against Pakistan. Baitullah Mehsud moves freely throughout the region promoting terrorism that will justify American actions. His men possess the most-advanced communication and possibly even satellite intelligence.

Pakistan army took a long time to read the signs because it just could not believe that the U.S. could resort to such diabolical stratagem against its ‘ally’.

(Obviously the army top brass don't read or know anything about Pakistan's true history.......if senior officers visiting the West have been micro-chipped and have taken the odd dollar, then they better have their passes to the USA, UK ready because an occupied Pakistan is not going to be a pretty site.

And the American destabilization agents in Pakistan have targeted senior officers, lest we forget.

Lets talk Iraq........by 2003 several of Saddam's cabinet were recruited and working for American intelligence.....including the head of the Iraqi Mukabarat......... informed the American handlers that he had no WMD'S, but that's not the main point.....through these men.....the entire top brass of Iraq's 400,000 armed forces were bought by the Americans, hence the fact that the Iraqi army never fought, but surrendered on masse in 2003.

Now what is the situation of these great Iraqi generals in 2008? Most of them are dead.......some killed by the Americans after surrendering in 2003; some killed by fellow Iraqis as traitors; Others killed by the Shia for being Sunni, and a few are in Saudi, Jordan, Syria as refugees directing the Sunni resistance in Iraq...........BUT few are enjoying their American dollars now, in Iraq or elsewhere.

And 1 million Iraqis dead, 4 million internal and external refugees...and the country destroyed..........)

The Army Chief, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, announced on September 10 that the coalition forces would not be allowed to operate inside Pakistan. His statement came within hours of the testimony by U.S. Chief of Joint Staff, Admiral Mullen, that the strategy for the war in Afghanistan had been revised and that targets in Pakistan would be struck without prior notice or warning to Pakistan. General Kayani expressed outrage at the U.S. helicopter raid near Angor Adda on the Pakistan Afghan border that lasted 30-minute; three houses owned by the Wazir tribesmen were the target of the raid that killed 23 people, including women and children. What added insult to injury was the report that Prime Minister Gilani's National Security Adviser Major General (retd) Mehmud Durrani formally wrote to his U.S. counterpart Steven Hadley, on September 5, warning that Pakistan would not allow any foreign forces to operate on its territory. In his letter, Durrani made it clear that the rules of engagement of the coalition forces were well defined and there was no provision that allowed the US/NATO forces in Afghanistan to operate inside Pakistan.

(Yes Sardar Gilani, writing letters is better than telling the truth to their faces, isn't it, OR TAKING ANY REAL COUNTER MEASURES in Pakistan against them.

Just complaining is good, and easy.)

On Thursday, September 11, the Pakistan Army was given permission to retaliate against any action by foreign troops inside the country. The same day, the Pakistan ambassador to the U.S. also met some national security advisers of the Bush administration and got the assurance that the U.S.-led coalition forces in Afghanistan would not operate inside Pakistan or launch any strike. As if to rub salt in the wound, the same night the coalition forces launched another missile attack on Miranshah, killing more than 12 people.

What is happening? What is the U.S. up to? More importantly, what can Pakistan do?

(Pakistan has many options.......many........in fact one good option was tried on Saturday 6th September, and then withdrawn a few days later, via their installed agent Zardari )

Clearly, the U.S. is stung by Pakistan discovering who is the real enemy. Pakistan has decided to liquidate the TTP and is succeeding with popular support. The U.S. should have been satisfied that the Pakistan Army is pursuing the TTP, but it is not. Clearly, the TTP is the excuse not the target. The American objective is to destabilize Pakistan. I refer to the article titled ‘The Destabilization of Pakistan’ by Prof. Michel Chossudovsky of Global Research, Canada, in which it was revealed, before Feb. 18 elections, that U.S. sees an opportunity in the elections to advance its agenda and is supporting the terrorists inside Pakistan towards that end. He wrote:

“Washington will push for a compliant political leadership, with no commitment to the national interest, a leadership which will serve US imperial interests, while concurrently contributing under the disguise of "decentralization", to the weakening of the central government and the fracture of Pakistan's fragile federal structure.”…. "U.S. Special Forces are expected to vastly expand their presence. The official justification and pretext… to extend the "war on terrorism". Concurrently, to justify its counter-terrorism program, Washington is also beefing up its covert support to the "terrorists."

(The good Professor may be dishing out half truths. Federalism and decentralization is good for a country like Pakistan with its size and population and lack of good governance.......it eases division and regionalism.....I am for decentralization....provided the regional assemblies are filled with serious public figures who wish to improve their part of Pakistan; the UK has done so successfully very recently. The problem is when you have gangsters masquerading as politicians.......imposed by Washington. The march against Pakistan which the Zionist professor doesn't mention is being directed by Israel and their tools in America......why?........the nuke bombs of Pakistan.)

It has become apparent that the insurgency in the FATA and elsewhere in NWFP is aided and abetted by the US. The economic conditions have been deteriorating so fast that the economy is being described as close to ‘melt-down’. The only remaining condition yet to be met for ‘destabilization’ to become unstoppable is the ‘demonization’ of the Pakistan Army.

(But hasn't the Raj Punjab army been part of the problem, and not the solution ruling Pakistan for 35 years starting from Iskander Mirza who was an army officer? Didn't the country break up during military rule last time in 1971? But, but oops, I see the point--------There is at least one last hope left the Pakistani people, The Raj Punjab Police Force, right? OK. The armed forces are the only viable institution that can save Pakistan now, from becoming an American created full disaster, after which they invade, in the present trajectory................the above paragraph has a Punjabi perspective though)

That explains why General Kayani’s defiant statement was quickly followed by another Predator attack. Now the ball is in General Kayani’s court; will he be the one to blink first? Will he be forced by his civilian masters – Zardari and Gilani – not to follow up on his promise and become subject of ridicule? But Pakistan has options. First and foremost, the objectives of the so-called ‘war on terror’ would have to be revised; it must henceforth deal exclusively with clearing FATA and Swat of TTP, and pacifying the area.

( Well no again. General Kiyani will not be forced to do anything against his wishes viz a vi Zardari and Gilani. Kiyani is the head of the most powerful, cohesive organization in Pakistan that unofficially has close to 800,000 men under his command. Conversely the Zardari/Gilani circus is rapidly losing traction where it matters, in Pakistan. Kiyani's star is rising within Pakistan, whilst the other two's star is waning...............these things give Kiyani certain leverage in negotiations with them.

Finally if Kiyani is a man with Izzat, and some Patriotism for the country which he serves, then certainly he won't need any approval from these two Western installed clowns to defend his country......at a certain stage he may be forced to take the full reigns of power............in which case I would advise him to stay put in Pakistan and watch and wait..........the situation should not be allowed to develop to the point, where the Americans want it to go.)

The approach of the people of Pakistan towards the U.S. has been transformed by the raid on Pakistan’s soil. Until now, they thought that the U.S. presence in Afghanistan was no threat to Pakistan. They had a benign view of the war despite the horrendous civilian casualties. They thought the war brought funds for development and democracy in its wake. Now the support for U.S. presence in the region is zero. The people see the United States as the main enemy; the so-called extremists are the proxies and surrogates of the USA.

(No again. The people of Pakistan have been anti American for quite a while, in a simplistic kind of way. It is the corrupt political and military elite which have been touting a fake friendship with the USA, and in addition sections of the popular Pakistani media working for Western intelligence who have been selling this myth within Pakistan (no names offered, but feel free to guess which media outlets I am talking about in Pakistan)

The people of Pakistan aren't surprised by the American actions, they have seen what Americans do in Iraq and Afghanistan after 'liberation', but the elite of Pakistan live in their own little bubble, and the consequences it will have for them within Pakistan has got them worried now, which the writer of this Pakistani article is talking about............let us remember to this day the Pakistan military have maintained the al-Qaeda myth, even though most people in the know in the West are aware this this organization is fake, and its exposure as a fake front of Western geo-strategy is the key to Pakistan's survival.

But the chamars in Pakistan have clung on to this myth for their sahibji's. The chamars have sent Pakistani citizens to be tortured, murdered, raped and humiliated by the Americans, with the full knowledge that al-Qaeda is a fake organisation of Western/Israeli ops, in which Pakistan played an active role in the past)

Second, the firm forthrightness of the Army Chief has made him popular and brought admiration for the armed forces, instead of being demonized. The PPP, which felt secure in power after the elevation of its co-chairman to the office of the President, is likely to feel threatened. The Prime Minster has already said that his Government would deal with the situation through diplomacy. But if the bombs continue to rain in FATA and more helicopter raids occur, the people would be outraged and demand retaliation. What would the Government do? It is time to be cool and act; diplomacy rarely works when it is mere talk. Since most of the raids are by air, Pakistan needs to deploy anti-aircraft weapons to protect outposts and villages. The U.S. and NATO would need to be informed that violation of air space would be considered ‘hostile’ and dealt with as such.

( AA guns have some uses against the Predators, but I imagine radar guided SAMS, and lt SAMS would be more appropriate. But also substantial ground troops would be needed along the FATA/Afghan border to prevent the ground incursions)

U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan depend on supply from or transit through Pakistan for a number of things. None need to stop but accidents do happen. After all, the U.S. did not solicit the assassination of Benazir Bhutto; they just let Baitullah Mehsud go through with what he was planning anyway. After deployment of anti-aircraft weapons on the border and ‘go slow’ strike on the tail from Karachi to Khybar, the ball would be in the U.S. court. It could take another step on the escalation ladder or sense might prevail.

(For a meaningful blockade of Afghanistan to take place Zardari and Gilani would have to go ...........they will not go against their true masters in London/Washington....Gilani couldn't even tell them about the situation on his visit to Washington)

However, Pakistan cannot afford to blink first. There will be rows between the civil and military leadership and it is hard to tell if the military advice would be accepted. But the Zardari Administration is already on the wrong side of the public opinion on the issue of restoration of the judges made dysfunctional by General Musharraf. He will be on the wrong side of the public opinion once again if he did nothing in the face of mounting casualties of soldiers and civilians a the hands of the USA.

( Zardari is a lost cause, as he was from the beginning. He will continue to make the wrong decisions, or non-decisions on key state issues, and the situation WILL deteriorate inside Pakistan...which is why he was brought into power in the first place by Bilaat Sahib/Washington Sahib....to de-legitimate Pakistan, and create the greatest amount of internal problems. To create a circus of distraction around him, away from the real pressing issues that face Pakistan now.

The reinstatement of the sacked judges will not in itself solve the problems of Pakistan.....the problems of Pakistan go far deeper, and they are structural and institutional problems that requires fundamental action by a strong Pakistan administration, with a clear agenda. But this writer supports their reinstatement immediately, and it will give legitimacy to who ever is in power in the near future..............probably a coalition of military/bureaucrats with PML/PPP anti-Zardari people, maybe before December 2008. Zardari, possibly the second richest man in Pakistan is correctly scared of them. Certainly there should not be complete chaos before the patriotic elements within Pakistan finally respond)

________________________________________________

So what are the solutions to the current challenges facing Pakistan? Well all problems and challenges have solutions if one has the courage to look into them. Here are a simple summary of issues which will make Pakistan stronger and prevent any possible American occupation in the future.........this requires responsibility and courage from the relevant people in Pakistan, and is offered by an outsider who is not angling for political power, but is written by an individual who has focused on the country in a generalized way for the better part of 30 years, and has offered his advice directly to the state since 1983. It is the advice of a fakir:

1) Zardari is a lost cause. His six months stewardship of Pakistan from the back seat have seen a dramatic slide in the situation in Pakistan.......prudence tells us that we can't blame Zardari for all this but as the main political figure he bears the main responsibility. On the issue of omission and commission of state policy by his administration over the last six months gives us further indications that he is a walking disaster. Some have described him as a gangster, and the second wealthiest man in Pakistan, who only has one goal....looking after number one. This would not be the first time in Pakistani politics or the last.

Whilst Pakistan has and could tolerate such a man and his GULF STATES/LONDON antics in the past as 'normal' political behavior, the present situation requires that he be removed from his post as soon as possible and replaced with a caretaker government.

It is now clear that the 'free and fair elections' of February 2008 were a foreign organised and financed fiction (through the ISI?), whose outcome is not in Pakistans best interests. This writer stands by his November 2007 call for an imposition of a full security state and marshal law, variations thereof for Pakistan. This writer understands the flaws in the security aparatus, and in General Musharaf, but this is a better option than the present 'democratically one' imposed by Bilaat shahib and Washington. The writer fully understands what 'liberation' and 'democracy' means in the American sense for Muslim countries on the 'list'.

2) There are foreign security people in Pakistan. What are these foreign security people doing in Pakistan? Hunting for al-Qaeda? Lets be honest, does al-Qaeda exists? The writer does not think so. So why are they there? OBL is dead some say since 2001........and the CIA has closed the unit looking for him since 2005. Which other countries in the world have foreign security agents in their country conducting joint ops, against non-existant enemies? The money is good.....$100 million a month....good for some officers......but good for the country?

All foreign agents should leave Pakistan. All American/British agents should leave in the wake of attacks against Pakistan. You can't be both fighting Coalition troops in FATA, and simultaneously escorting their agents around the country in sensitive areas.......conflict of interest. The NWFP, Baluchistan and the Northern Areas should be off limits to tourists also.

3) All foreign military bases closed, essentially on the arguments above.

4) Full blockade of Afghanistan as stated a number times before, not just over oil.

5) The Pak security aparatus needs to come clean about the myth of al-Qaeda, and the fact that it does not exists...............it destroys the geostrategic rationale to wage 100 year war against Muslim countries, AND SAVE' S PAKISTAN FROM INVASION...............Can you do this to save Pakistan at least, if not the numerous victims of GWOT, and the other Muslim countries on the 'list'.

6) Sign an FTA with India which comes into effect immediately, economically it makes sense, and strategically it makes sense.

7) Legalise the LOC. Pakistan cannot attain Kashmir...........Pakistan will have her work cut out maintaining the integrity of the present borders of Pakistan....so lets ditch the illusions and fantasy, face reality like real men, and do what is right for Pakistan.

8) Lets expand the armed forces to 800,000 officially, with an army of 740,000 with 32 divisional HQ. Let us expand defence expenditure from the present 3% FY 2007-8, to 6%. When you manage the economy efficiently, you can find the extra money. With the current political mismanagement, the armed forces will be severly stretched. And then focus on how to persuade the Coalition foreign troops to leave Afghanistan.

As has been stated before the presence of a psuedo-crusader force in Afghanistan, expanding incrementally, and looking for fake al-Qaeda and even more fake Taliban which they manage does not bode well for Pakistan.......they need to be removed from Afghanistan come what may........and this is what the Pakistan armed forces have to fully understand, from the jawan to the general. Which means not relying on them at any level....training, spares, equipment, funds, bases, their guidance.
