China yuan isolating US dollar as global reserve currency: PIIE

Peterson Institute for International Economics predicts that China’s renminbi will become internationalized in 10 to 15 years.

China’s official currency yuan is set to rise to the status of an international currency as more nations abandon the US dollar to peg their currency to the Chinese yuan, a new report says.

The latest research by the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) shows that renminbi (the official currency of China whose primary unit is the yuan) will become internationalized in 10 to 15 years if China further liberalizes its financial market.

Also on Monday, the Royal Bank of Scotland predicted that renminbi will become a fully convertible currency in 2015.

According to the PIIE report, seven major East Asian economies, including South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand have formed a new “renminbi bloc” and track the renminbi more closely than the US dollar.

China has turned into the main trading partner of the East Asian countries, with its share in the regional states’ manufacturing trade rising from two percent in 1991 to nearly 22 percent in 2012, the PIIE says.

The renminbi is also gaining an extra-regional momentum, as the currencies of India, Chile, Israel, South Africa, and Turkey are tracking the Chinese currency more closely and even sometimes closer than the dollar, the research added.

Financial analysts contend that while both the dollar and euro are under pressure of the international financial crisis, more customers are starting to practice in renminbi as they view China as the future hub of global economic growth.

The rise of renminbi’s global sway comes as China has become the world’s second economy since last year.

Earlier in November, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development predicted that China’s economy would overtake the economies of the entire eurozone by the end of 2012 and it will become the world’s No. 1 economy by 2016.

Inquiry urged into MI5 cover-up of child abuse by ex-UK MP

A British lawmaker urges an inquiry into MI5 cover-up of child abuse by former MP Sir Cyril Smith.

A British lawmaker has called for an inquiry into the role of Britain’s domestic intelligence agency MI5 in a potential "cover-up" of alleged sexual abuse by former MP Sir Cyril Smith in the 1960s.   

At Home Office Questions in the House of Commons on November 19, Rochdale’s MP Simon Danczuk called on British Home Secretary Theresa May to investigate the accusations about Smith and the role of the British Internal Security’s spies in hushing up allegations against the former Liberal Democrat MP.

The Labour MP said MI5 could have helped cover up claims of child abuse against Smith, who died in 2010.

"[Will the Home Secretary say] What role, if any the Security Service played; and how the Government now intends getting to the bottom of what several former police officers are now referring to as 'a cover-up'?” Danczuk asked.

Several former residents of a Rochdale boys' hostel have claimed they were assaulted by the Liberal Democrat politician during the 1960s.

Last week, Tony Robinson, a special branch officer with Lancashire Police in the 1970s, said a dossier of sexual abuse allegations against Smith which police claimed was "lost" was actually seized by MI5.

Allegations of a large paedophile ring linked to former British MPs are being disclosed, since the recent sex abuse accusations against former BBC star Jimmy Savile.

 China’s Transition: Towards a Red Revival or Socialist Democracy?

As China’s 18th Communist Party Congress draws to a close, the world’s most populous nation prepares to install the country's fifth generation of leadership since the Chinese Revolution of 1949. 

Despite overseeing a stringent police state with heavy limitations on political expression, China’s leadership have taken the nation from starvation to space travel in just a few decades, lifting approximately 600 million people out of poverty. [1] 

Of course, the Communist Party still has a fair share of trouble on its hands; 

managing an economic slowdown, 

finding ways to raise incomes while keeping production costs competitive, 

and dealing with radical pro-secessionist sentiment in Tibet and Xinjiang. 

Undoubtedly, China’s leadership has maintained its legitimacy by overseeing massive economic growth – its inability to continue on such a path would ultimately create trouble for the Communist Party. Chairman Mao once preached, “An army of the people is invincible!” – hence, China spends an astounding $111 billion on internal security, more than what is allocated to the People’s Liberation Army. [2]

President Hu Jintao’s administration oversaw the construction of new infrastructure and high-speed rail networks, the rise of emerging provincial metropolises such as Shenzhen and Chongqing, and China’s lucrative economic engagement with Africa. During an address at the Party Congress, President Hu hinted at some kind of reform to the existing system:

"We must continue to make both active and prudent efforts to carry out the reform of the political structure, and make people's democracy more extensive, fuller in scope and sounder in practice; however, we will never copy a Western political system." [3]

It remains to be seen exactly what kind of “democracy” President Hu is referring to, however it is apparent that China’s leadership recognizes the need to address the complete lack of public participation in the political direction of the country. Hu spoke of “diversifying the forms of democracy” and “democratic elections,” and with that, one would hope for the incremental relaxation on political expression and dissent.

In combating the severe wealth gap between the rich and poor, President Hu has also called for China to double its 2010 GDP and per capita income for both urban and rural residents by 2020, the first time that per capita income has been included in the country’s economic growth target. [4] 

Hu also called for the rapid modernization of national defense and armed forces, and the need to build China into a maritime power to protect its marine resources and interests. [5] 

Additionally, Hu praised the pro-autonomy policies of the "one country, two systems" arrangement, the need for integrating urban and rural development, and the possibility of military cooperation with Taiwan. [6] 

Of course, Hu himself will not be at the helm to steer China into its planned trajectory; it is safely assumed that Xi Jinping and his designated deputy, Li Keqiang, will be installed as president and premier in March 2013.

Xi Jinping is noted for ushering in positive economic reforms in the coastal province of Zhejiang, where GDP has grown by 10% annually over the past 30 years through bolstering small-scale entrepreneurs, providing supportive credit to private ventures, and governing with very little intervention in firm management. [7] 

Xi is the son one of the Communist Party's founding fathers, Xi Zhongxun, and was banished to labor in the remote village of Liangjiahe as a teenager during the Cultural Revolution before studying chemical engineering at the elite Tsinghua University in Beijing. Xi belongs to the ‘princeling’ faction, the offspring of party veterans who favor crony-capitalism by steering economic growth with high levels of state intervention, many of whom (such as Bo Xilai) champion a revival of Maoist socialism with contemporary values. Xi will be the first ‘princeling’ in the seat of power and it is unclear if his policies will reflect the governing style of others in his faction, or that of his own approach of adopting lesser government intervention. Xi appears to relate little to Maoist policy, only to the nostalgia of singing red songs and using the Chairman’s aphorisms. [8]

Incoming premier Li Keqiang, who also toiled in the countryside during the Cultural Revolution, is from the ‘tuanpai’ faction. The ‘tuanpai’ have come from lesser-privileged backgrounds and have been groomed for leadership through the Communist Youth League; the faction is more focused on populist policies, rural development, and improving the conditions of farmers and migrant workers. The ‘princelings’ orbit around former President Jiang Zemin, while the ‘tuanpai’ favor the direction taken under Hu Jintao; the incoming administration has likely been selected to strike a balance between the two factions. A more dismissive analysis of these factional differences by US-based Chinese dissident Yu Jie could potentially be more accurate:

“People say Hu and Xi belong to different political factions. They say Hu comes from the Communist Youth League and is therefore more populist, whereas Xi, because he represents the "princelings" -- sons and daughters of high officials -- works in service of the wealthier coastal provinces. I think they're not that dissimilar. No matter if it's Hu or Xi, they're still only representative of the few-hundred families who make up the Chinese aristocracy. They are not in office thanks to a Western-style election, but are the products of a black-box operation. They didn't rise because they're clever and capable, but precisely because they're mediocre. They are where they are today because they are harmless to the special interest groups that run China.” [9]

Since a large demographic of people in China have benefitted from economic development, many have become complacent or exorbitantly wealthy, and are generally uninterested in political activism. While public trust in the government may be higher today than in 1989, the new leadership has a chance to rebuild public confidence by raising per capita incomes and loosening restrictions on expression. 

If Xi governs the country using the “Zhejiang Model” and supports local entrepreneurship, this would help reduce the wealth gap and wouldn’t necessarily hinder the extraordinary monopoly profits of China’s state-owned enterprises. China has avoided the mistake of the Soviet Union when it attempted to reform politically before doing so economically, however it still remains unclear if the Communist Party is willing to engage in any meaningful reform of their political system.

As the United States shifts its economic and military focus to the Asia Pacific, the question of Sino-US relations under the Xi Administration is an important one. Beijing’s desire to flex its maritime muscle and exercise its sovereignty over disputed territories in the South China Sea will certainly not sit well with the Obama administration, which has ostensibly adopted a policy written about by American foreign policy theoreticians such as Robert Kagan, who has argued in favor of pressuring China through territorial containment. 

There are a myriad of ways in which the United States can accomplish these goals; it is more likely that Washington will continue supporting dissident groups and attempting to hamper China’s overseas development projects, rather than engage in any military exchange. The Korean Peninsula remains a tense flashpoint capable of drawing both the United States and China into military conflict. 

The incoming Xi administration must be a mediator; it should more adamantly oppose the US military presence in South Korea and more actively assist economic development and social programs in North Korea. Xi Jinping is known to be a straight talker of sorts, and Washington can likely expect less diplomatic rhetoric from Beijing if it continues its current policy:

"Some foreigners with full bellies and nothing better to do engage in finger-pointing at us. First, China does not export revolution; second, it does not export famine and poverty; and third, it does not mess around with you. So what else is there to say?" [10]

In the USA General Petraeus of the CIA can be dismissed for having a mere fling, or other generals dismissed.......General Ham, for not following orders of the civilian masters, BUT in Pakistan, the military are above the law?

In Russia they got rid of 200,000 officers, and are conducting corruption investigations against defense procurement....but in Pakistan, the Punjab Pakistan military are above the law.

The USA gives beggar money to the Punjab military to fight its fake colonial wars, against Pakistanis, poor innocent Pakistanis.....trains its top brass....gives Pakistan second hand equipment, or leftovers from ISAF.......bankrolls the ISI and runs it through fusion centers, trains the Pakistan military.

For Good measure....The USA Mocks the Pakistan military publicly, after the fake OBL operation, lectures them and orders them to do certain things in Pakistan....criticises them publicly about how they sponsor the Taliban........and so on.

BUT according to the Punjab Pakistan military.......... The Supreme Court in Pakistan, the highest court in the land, cannot, dare not or else.......examine the role of the Pakistan military in alleged misconduct......just allegations at this stage, misconduct by senior serving officers, because the Punjab Pakistan military is above the law.

Think of it this way....Gora sahib can kill the Punjab Pakistan military, humiliate them, double cross them, use them, blame them for gora sahib failure in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

But the legitimate Pakistani courts cannot ask them mere questions in a court of law, and thus obtain simple answers to long held allegations about Serious anti-State Crime.

Chief Justice Chaudhary asserts judicial supremacy in Pakistan

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has asserted the importance of the judicial supremacy in Pakistan as clash of institutions and political power struggle continue to threaten the country's stability.

Chaudhry said Thursday that the Supreme Court reserved the judicial authority to take notice of any ongoing problem facing the country, daily Dawn newspaper reported.

The remarks come as the superior courts have been hearing several complaints against the country’s military intelligence agency, the Inter-Services 

Intelligence (ISI) during last couple of years. ISI is believed to be behind several disappearances of terror suspects or dissents across the violence-wracked country.

ISI officials or serving army generals are not accountable to the parliament or any other authority in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's powerful military chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has recently issued an indirect warning against the judicairy for its interference in the affairs of the spy agency.

“All systems in Pakistan appear to be in a haste to achieve something, which can have both positive and negative implications. Let us take a pause and examine the two fundamental questions; One, are we promoting the rule of law and the Constitution? Two, are we strengthening or weakening the institutions? In the ultimate analysis, all of us would have served Pakistan better if history and our future generations judge us positively,” General Kayani said on Monday.

This comes as Pakistan is already grappling with an onging conflict between the judiciary and the weak (powerless puppet of USA) civilian government.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has submitted a request with the Swiss authorities to reopen an old corruption case against President Asif Ali Zardari. The move seems to be aimed at a November 14 deadline the Pakistani Supreme Court had given new premier to reopen corruption cases against his boss.

(Zardari is a $ billionaire without doing any direct business...and has liquid and physical chattels in gora saab land, which cannot be answered for. It is believed that he will flee to the Gulf or London just after the next elections, and beyond the reach of the law, before a full investigation........that is why the PPP has been dragging its feet for so long over its investigation. )

The developments spelled a fresh political turmoil and the clash of institutions in Pakistan just months ahead of the widely expected general elections.

Pakistan in the last few decades has been tarnished by conflicts between the weak civilian government and judiciary, periods of military rule and political instability.

Pakistan has been under military rule for much of its life since it gained independence from Britain in 1947.

It was in 1998, when the significance of China's economic rise dawned on me. That this could easily be translated into global military power, just as the USA had when its GDP represented approximately half the worlds in PPP terms, by 1945.

I predicted to a small circle that by 2015 China would overtake the USA economy, back then. By contrast Goldman Sacks and their peer group predicted that China would overtake the American economy by 2050 around that time. After that over the years, they revised it to 2040, 2030, 2025, 2020 and now another organisation predicts China's benchmark success to be in 2016.

This process has monumental significance for the world, and the rise of China should have a more beneficial outcome for peace and stability in the world, in comparison to that of the USA, and where it is generally heading. 

Back in 1998 my perception of the USA was very high (aided by Hollywood, youthful naivety, an all pervasive feature of British life, American pop music and all things American), and of China not so high......a dark, unaccountable totalitarian regimented state. I had been processed by the British education system. However 14 years have passed, and a lot has happened since then to reflect on ones views. The prediction still stands...by 2015 China will pass the USA economically, though it might be earlier in 2014, BUT the fear of China has gone. Now it is the other way.

China is developing through rational logical judgement within the Communist Peoples Politburo promoting pragmatic development programs, not for sinister design, but to make life better for the average citizen of the country. The process of modernization  industrialization and urbanization is complicated, but China I am sure will succeed because of the fundamental nature of the state. The Chinese state is overwhelmingly focused on itself, keeps a low international profile and steadily delivers on ALL fronts of socio-economic development.

The USA by contrast is a pseudo-Nazi Police state, with its main talking point and focus on security, war, destabilization and terrorism. It is in the process of adding more military bases in foreign lands to add to its existing 1000 bases, and it positions and postures for more war, International drug trafficking, and occupation of foreign lands. There is very little good that comes from the American government.

I hope and wish for the sake of the world, the USA empire quickly disappears and that China takes the place of the USA empire. 

However, even if China becomes number one economically by 2014, this will not be translated into outright military power to be exercised around the world, immediately. That will take at least another decade......2024. By which time China will have several aircraft carriers, and 100's of Stealth J-20 planes. Strategic naval bases around the world in Africa, Asia, South America, and maybe even in Europe. Finally an economy to back such a potential future huge military. China currently produces 650 million tons of steel and generates about 4500 billion Kwt electricity...... with PPP economy at about $12 trillion, but many experts dispute this fact and state that the true Chinese economy is over $15 trillion, whilst a considerable part of the American economy is based on debt and paper money.

The nature of the USA state by contrast is sinister, uncivilized and antagonistically aggressive towards many, unnecessarily leading to inevitable subsequent alienation (like fiat currency it means nothing). It subverts established global systems of human cooperation in order to pursue its own skewered narrow policies in the manner of a street hustler, with street hustler objectives. It is a state led by the CIA/Pentagon with Wall Street and the Federal Reserve in the background........such a state must fail sooner or later. No nation on earth flowered, prospered or redeemed itself when it allowed itself to be led by the spooks and the military.

China to overtake US economy by 2016: OECD

A leading economic organization has predicted that China’s economy will overtake that of the US by 2016, prophesizing a major shift in the balance of global economic power.


The Paris-based Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) forecasted that China’s economy would overtake the economies of the entire eurozone by the end of 2012 and it will be larger than the US economy by 2016.

By 2025, the combined GDP of China and India will outgrow that of France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, US and Canada put together, the OECD said.

“It is quite a shift in the balance of economic power we are going to see in the future,” said Asa Johansson, a senior economist at the OECD.

The organization of 34 countries forecasted that the global imbalances that led to the global economic crisis in 2007 will intensify and reach pre-crisis levels by 2030.

The OECD warned that the escalating imbalances could undermine the global economic growth and noted that the situation cannot be ameliorated unless countries embark on more ambitious reforms with respect to labor and production.

For these White Jews, immersed in European Occidental identification, especially the Anglo-Saxon one.....the fate of Israel does not really matter, but that the little geographical strip in the Levant affords them the 

(i) Opportunity to mobilize the Jewish tribe into an united cause....."Israels survival"

(iii) Through manufactured conflict in other lands reap financial profit 

(iv) the result of conflict, war, death, suffering is for them entertaining. 

3. The above explains Israel's current situation as being a garrison state, at perpetual war, seeking more war.

4. Extremely regressive behavior of the Israeli state, with provocative security operations in the hinterland and further afield, and the promotion of Islamic Fundamentalists such as Hamas from the 1970's by the Israeli state to generate enemies who must be fought.

5. The true objective of the Israeli state is to create Eretz Israel, which is unlikely to be fulfilled, and in the process of pursuing such a dream, the CIA analysis department no less think the Israeli state will be destroyed....with the intelligentsia fleeing to the West, leaving behind a few million religious orthodox Jews.

The Israeli Nightmare

- Israel is an excuse, a mandate, a perpetual casus belli, and both an ideological as well as literal beachhead in the Middle East. Created and propped up by the West, in particular the US and United Kingdom, it has served as the medium through which Western foreign policy flows in and out of the Arab, and to a greater extent, the Muslim World.

It is through a carefully cultivated strategy of tension that this perpetual casus belli is maintained. Without the constant perceived fear of Israel's demise and the "moral imperative" to prevent it, real or imagined, it would be difficult to justify Western involvement in nations that otherwise pose no perceivable threat to America or Europe. A " clash of civilizations" is likewise being created within the West itself to augment this paradigm, but it has yet to "come of age," and still depends heavily on Israeli-Arab tensions to sustain itself.

To maintain a perpetual strategy of tension to justify perpetual meddling by neo-colonialists in the Middle East, Israel bulldozes homes specifically to create more enemies. To think otherwise, would be to falsely assume Israel's current leadership is actually invested in the self-preservation of the nation-state. They are not.

It is clearly in the best interests of Western corporate-financiers seeking to remain involved in the Middle East and reassert hegemony over the region, to keep this strategy of tension viable and as heated as possible. The policies of Israel are so ham-handedly provocative, it is surprising that more people do not see the truth behind them - that Israel's heavy-handed belligerence is a calculated decision to keep the tension ratcheted up as high as possible. For what other reason could a nation-state want to deliberately, slowly, and systematically bulldoze the homes of impoverished men, women, and children? Self-preservation by eliminating it enemies? Or the perpetual creation of new enemies? 

It is not just a theory that the West and Israel purposefully cultivate and exploit the hatred incurred by their calculated, blatantly provocative policies. 

Like a dam straddling a river, the force of tension against the dam produces energy from which those who constructed it, benefit. The hatred, fear, and violence perpetuated between the Jewish people and their perceived enemies has been a prominent driving force behind Wall Street and London's century-long campaign of invasion, occupation, subversion, and exploitation across the Muslim World.

A recent example of this was using regional hatred toward Israel to implement the opening phases of the US-engineered "Arab Spring." Because any regime Israel feigned support for would be instantly poisoned by a political "touch of death," Israel openly and oafishly feigned support for Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak, claiming it had sent weapons and riot control gear to assist his government in suppressing "anti-American/anti-Israeli" protesters. In reality, the protests in Egypt's streets were planned years in advance, beginning as early as 2008 in New York City by confabs organized by the US State Department.

In essence, the West and Israel played people's emotional persuasions like a fiddle, and executed one of the most profound geopolitical re-orderings in recent history.

The same ploy would be used against Libyan leader, Muammar Qaddafi. Qaddafi was accused of being "Jewish," hiring Israeli mercenaries, using Israeli weapons, and of any other conceivable link imaginable to likewise inflict him with the "touch of death" incurred by this strategy of tension. And perhaps the most absurd example of all, were early attempts to use the same tactic against Syria, exemplified best in Hareetz of Israel's op-ed titled “ Israel’s Favorite Arab Dictator of All is Assad.”

None of these ploys would have worked, had Israel and its Western-sponsors not maintained seething hatred against themselves throughout the world.
What if?

Now let's imagine an Israel led by a government genuinely concerned about not only the self-preservation of Israel, but its stability, peace, and prosperity. Would such a nation bulldoze houses leaving destitute families sitting in the rubble before the cameras of the international press? Would such a nation indoctrinate its population to hold an irrational hatred that fuels a destructive conflict that exploits and expends the summation of the Israeli people's talent, economic activity, time, energy, and attention?

The nation could easily redirect its immense military budget into real economic development and progress - if it could oust leaders who seek to maintain Israel as a beachhead for Western hegemony instead of growing it into a self-sustaining nation-state.

The answer is definitively no. A nuclear-armed Israel which faces no serious existential external threats, that turned away from this current Israeli-Arab strategy of tension would lead to region much like Southeast Asia, where profound cultural differences between neighbors have been largely set aside because each nation is too busy developing itself. Israel would benefit, its neighbors would benefit. Extremists on both sides would find themselves with dwindling supporters.

The only losers would be the policy makers from think-tanks like the Brookings Institution, and the corporate-financier interests which fund them. They admit nations like Iran and Syria pose no threat to either Israel's or America's national security, and in fact state that provocations must be made to bait such nations into war. Without the Israeli-Arab strategy of tension, without Arabs and Israelis dying every month, year after year, such provocations and the wars they seek to start would become exponentially more difficult to justify or sell to the public - if not entirely impossible.

A future where Israel lives in peace with its neighbors is possible. The answer is not waging war against its neighbors who neither desire nor will benefit from conflict with a nuclear-armed, Western-backed militant state, but by recognizing the current Israeli government itself as the single most pressing existential threat Israel and its people face. By removing and replacing them with people genuinely invested in "Israel the nation-state," instead of "Israel the beachhead," a true path to peace and prosperity can be found and embarked upon.

The CIA is a very important organization, because the USA is a lone hyper-power, and the CIA is at the center of this hyper-power.....shaping its foreign policy, wars, security operations....AND domestically, very pro-active which includes grooming over 40 years the current President, Barack Hussein Obama from two former CIA parents.

It is staffed by Ivy league university graduates, and also from the security forces. So it represents the perspectives of the elite of American society. Just as the elite in the USA is very nuanced , and so the organization is a reflection of this fact.

The CIA has managed to influence through its assets American foreign and security policy, which will mean its role around the world will be further promoted in the future, front right and center. Domestically the CIA is in the same position as was the KGB in the Soviet Union during the 1980's, especially.

Given this fact, and its prominence, it is strange that the current CIA head has been dismissed this way, presented as a considered moral based resignation. Such an indiscretion would normally be covered up, and the world would be told that the director resigned because he wanted to spend more quality time with his family, and so forth. Further that the indiscretion is fully exposed to the world. 

Finally in the sum total of what the CIA does around the world, and its very nature..."Break  laws on a grand scale"...the reason for the resignation and personal faux pas seem very implausible and weak.

CIA Chief Petraeus Resigns, Leaked Classified Info to Girlfriend

In a bizarre turn of events, CIA Director David Petraeus has tendered his resignation today after the FBI discovered he was having an affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, who is under investigation for improperly accessing classified information.

At least Captain Betrayus is not gay.

In his resignation letter, Petraeus couched the decision as a function of his moral failing, saying “such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours.” 

(Sunday prayers, and tea and crochet on the lawn????? The CIA counterfeits money; does false flag terrorist ops; destabilizes countless nations; runs South American cocaine and Afghan heroin into the USA; trains, arms, fiances "al-CIA-duh" Islamists; kills leaders of other nations; runs pedophile rings to satisfy the sexual fetishes of the elite; assassinates American Presidents; abducts thousands of people and then tortures them in secret sites; initiates illegal wars against nations; creates false propaganda.......BUT having an affair with a very attractive woman is the end of the earth....what? 21st century fagot morality has taken over? Petraeus has been married for 37 years. Broadwell is also reportedly married with two children.

The real question, however, is not so much about the “extensive access” to his person that Broadwell was given while penning the biography All In, but rather access she may have been given to his personal email account, which was being monitored by the FBI as part of the investigation. So far no charges have been filed and the FBI insists that Petraeus himself wasn’t under investigation.

Still, that one of the nation’s top spymasters may have ended up leaking classified information to his girlfriend by way of his email account is a major embarrassment even without charges, and leaves Mike Morell as acting CIA director.

The sudden resignation of Petraeus means he will no longer be testifying to Congress in relation to the September Benghazi fiasco, and rather that Morell, as his (at least temporary) successor will be doing so. Military officials insist Petraeus’ resignation has nothing to do with Benghazi.

The timing of the resignation is also telling, as indications are this FBI investigation has been ongoing for quite some time, but the resignation waited until immediately after the presidential election. President Obama has been a vocal supporter of Petraeus in numerous roles, and the revelation that he appointed a leader of the nation’s most visible spy agency who couldn’t even keep an affair under wraps would certainly have been politically damaging if it came out before the vote.

Obama went on to praise Petraeus after the resignation for his “intellectual rigor” and “patriotism,” insisting he made the nation safer. Exactly how safe will likely only be apparent to people who have access to the classified data, like Broadwell.

He happened to be around for two staged incidents. I guess if you are looking for someone to run destabilization campaigns and acts of false flag terror at the CIA, you would be hard pressed to find more suitable work history references. I guess he certainly knows where the bodies are buried so to speak.

As to Petraeus, an affair? Right.

More likely than not, Davie boy Betrayus is going to fall on the Benghazi Psyop Sword for Hillary and Panetta. They’ll find some nice way to blame the whole thing on him and that won’t be hard because it was a CIA operation to start with.
