If Germany can oppose the USA over the Iraq invasion in 2003, then why not Russia?
Iraq after all is a far away country in the Middle East with little consequence for Germany.
It was a political decision in 2003 based on moral conscience, and that a large powerful country should not attack a small weak country based on false intelligence.
The same principles can be applied to Russia, truncated and moderately passive, surrounded as it is by the USA and its allies.
The historical addition being that Germany committed many crimes in the Soviet Union which resulted in the death of 30 million Soviets in just 4 years. ......or if you like statistics, 7 9/11's everyday in the Soviet Union at the hands of the Jewish banker funded Nazi experiment (1933-45). AKA Israel in 2016.
Unlike Iraq, German trade with Russia is huge. Russians love German products. The German business community hate the sanctions against Russia. Germany would love to participate in the Great Eurasian Integration plan led by China.
Unlike Iraq, a war with Russia by the USA led NATO will be devastating for flat near neighbor......... Germany through equally flat Poland.
What is all this stupidity for? You call for calm, but you still maintain sanctions against Russia which singularly fuels and encourages the crazy talk of the raving fringe in Poland, the Baltic states and else where.
Why is there this divergence? Its political.
