If Putin does nothing militarily to counter the threats from the USA against Russian ally Syria, then ALL the military manouvers by Russia with China, HUGE military maneuvers by the Russian armed forces in Russia, the promise to spend $800 billion over the next few years to upgrade the Russian armed forces will come to naught......They will represent empty gestures by Putin to reassure patriotic Russians frightened and concerned by USA Imperialists aggression near Russia.
After Syria it will be Iran, after Iran it will be the Russian Caucasus, and Central Asia.
Just as NATO covert forces are being sent to Syria via Turkey and Jordan, and so Russia must send Spetnaz units, air-defense units, and general combat troops to Syria to defend the Assad regime.
Iran must send 50,000 Revolutionary Pasdaran to Syria near the Jordanian border, where the Imperialists activity is the greatest. It must be done covertly, without any announcement.....they can be designated tourists, religious pilgrims, businessmen, technical advisers...what ever.
This isn't about how a Roman army with 7 augmented legions (44,000) and 9,000 cavalry forces were annihilated.....BUT the GREED, POINTLESS AMBITION, WORTHLESS STRATEGIC WAR WITH A NEIGHBOR, THE BREAKING OF INTERNATIONAL PEACE TREATIES, THE MALE EGO of the richest billionaire in the Roman Empire.....Marcus Licinius Crass-ass, the superpower of its time.......WHAT STUPIDITY AND WHAT A WASTE.
Special note should be made of what Crass-ass intended to do AFTER defeating the Parthians.....in the modern day context of Iran, and Russia.

President Peace Prize went on CNN this morning to express his “grave concerns” about the alleged chemical weapons attack in a suburb of Damascus and to indicate the U.S. needs to build a “coalition” to intervene because of this latest attack.

You have got to be a special kind of stupid to believe that Assad or the Syrian government would launch a chemical weapons attack on their own people the moment a UN inspection team lands in their country giving the regime change crowd all the ammo they need to claim Assad crossed “the red line”
