PHASE 1:

The 200,000 Russian forces to secure Ukraine is not enough.

This is because the Ukrainians are not fighting a set-piece battle where Russia's greater firepower would easily overwhelm the Ukrainians, IN SPECIFIC SET PIECE LOCATIONS.

Nobody fights set-piece formation battles anymore--it is outdated. HOWEVER, Militaries the world over are Conservative traditional based institutions who cling to the past. In English we say, when a general is planning and fighting future battles, they are psychologically fighting their LAST WAR/BATTLE. So we get military paradoxes and anomalies:

1. The Japanese at WWII with some remarkable cutting edge technology and weapon systems, with tactics (Singapore 1942) often charged their enemies with fixed bayonets, with the officer wielding a Samurai sword--telling everybody who is the Japanese officer in charge....shouting Banzai, basically ritualistic suicide, and meaningless.

2. Mikhail Nikolayevich Tukhachevsky (Russian: Михаил Николаевич Тухачевский) created and designed a revolutionary method of war that involved armoured formations moving fast forward in off-roads in rapid changing movement and directions. Stalin hated Tukhachevsky going back to the Soviet invasion of Poland, and Stalin in all cases had no military background so Tukhachevsky's idea seemed bizarre. Stalin believed in set-piece battles with lots of artillery and not rapid MOBILE WARFARE. Thus to the tragic loss of the Soviet Union, and 27 million who would later die, Tukhachevsky was executed.

'As a major proponent of modernization of Soviet armament and army force structure in the 1920s and 1930s, he became instrumental in the development of Soviet aviation, and of mechanized and airborne forces.'

To make matters worse, Stalin promoted the ideas of his best buddy in the absence of Tukhachevsky...Semyon Mikhailovich Budyonny[1] (Russian: Семён Миха́йлович Будённый).

'Budyonny was a staunch proponent of horse cavalry. During the Great Purge, he testified against Mikhail Tukhachevsky's efforts to create an independent tank corps, claiming that it was so inferior to cavalry and illogical that it amounted to "wrecking" (sabotage). After being told of the importance of the tank in the coming war in 1939, he remarked, "You won't convince me. As soon as war is declared, everyone will shout, "Send for the Cavalry!"[2]'

Budyonny thought that a million sabre wielding Soviet cavalry soldiers would win the war against Hitler's panzers (which had by 22nd June 1941, CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED, especially in Poland that cavalry was worthless against Panzer formations)  Poland and France. BUT GREAT MILITARY COMMANDERS FIGHT THE LAST WAR--Budyonny was therefore psychologically fighting WW1, or maybe even the Napoleanic invasion of 1812!!!!!!!!.

The Ukrainians are not going to offer set-piece battles against Russia, they are not dumb. The only set-piece battles are going to be in the big cities of metropolitan Kyiv 4,000,000 (with half the population gone--Berlin 1945) Kharkiv and Lviv, which should be occupied during PHASE 3, last.

I'm sure despite NATO/AMERICAN EMPIRE supply, there are not the quality tough 36 German battle-hardened divisions defending Berlin/Kyiv. But the scale of the operation of this huge city and Kharkiv and Lviv should not be underestimated.

Kyiv Kharkiv and Lviv are not BERLIN, so special tactics must be created to secure these cities.

So, the Russian armed forces need new tactics quickly for Ukraine.

500,000 will be needed for Phase 1 to secure Ukraine.

Unlike the 9 YEAR AFGHANISTAN OPERATION, the Pak/Afghan border needed to be secured completely---2700 km.........very difficult with 100,000 troops, but the Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Polish borders need to be COMPLETELY SEALED in Phase one.......otherwise it is endless fighting with NATO/AMERICAN EMPIRE WEAPONS.
