Poverty

.

.
.
After 67 years of independence, India still has the largest number of people in the world who live below the poverty line as a nation compared to all other 193 General Assembly states. This is the fault of the ruling elite, and especially the Congress Party.

The only solutions are:

(i) Severe, harsh birth control

(ii) Massive investment in INFRASTRUCTURE which gives jobs and pocket money to the lowest people in society, and keeps them busy, away from Naxal mischief. A $3 trillion investment in this area over the next couple years will not create INFLATION....and is not subject to outside economic pressures such as the coming collapse of the USA $......Stalin 1929--1941...20% real GDP growth, whilst under sanctions from the West. Abolition of ALL laws from the Colonial era, and the Congress era which hinder business. Abolition of ALL laws from the Colonial era, and the Congress era which hinder business.

(iii) Massive investment in INDUSTRY which gives jobs and pocket money to the lowest people in society, and keeps them busy, away from Naxal mischief. A $5 trillion investment in this over the next 10 years will not create INFLATION....and is not subject to outside economic pressures such as the coming collapse of the USA $......Stalin 1929--1941...20% real GDP growth, whilst under sanctions from the West. Abolition of ALL laws from the Colonial era, and the Congress era which hinder business.

(iv) The total elimination of India's mafia which destroy and hinder natural business growth....and which encourage politicians from ALL parties to align with mafia elements.

(iv) Upgrade the tax regime....India has some of the best accountants in the world. India has some of the best mathematicians in the world. India has some of the best IT people in the world.....ORGANIZE the three to produce a better tax regime.

(vi) SERIOUSLY and MEANINGFULLY bring the black money home.....ranging from $2 trillion--$8 trillion. Invest this money in INFRASTRUCTURE and INDUSTRY.

I have been ranting about this for 10 years. Congress did not listen.....they are corrupt, and it seems now run by foreign entities. If the Congress with its Dysentery politics totally disappears, and is replaced by another party I for one will be happy. It has wasted so many peoples hopes by letting an illiterate Italian woman and her little gay playboy son, who turns up at an American airport with a suitcase full of $......... in many ways hinder India's natural development.

The people should not be fooled with populist gimmicks launched on 'auspicious days' but REAL policies which help all the people develop comprehensively and clearly.

Gap between rich, poor widens in India

By Presstv.com

Economic inequality is on the rise in India as the country is home to the eighth largest group of super-rich people in the world, Press TV reports.

There are some 14,800 multi-millionaires in India, and Mumbai is among the top 25 cities in the world with some 2,700 multi-millionaires.

This is while the population of Indian slum dwellers has increased from over 52 million in 2001 to more than 65 million in 2011.

“There are no housing facilities, no water, no sanitation and no land for us. We are forced to live in these slums and [it] looks [like] we will be here for the rest of our lives,” Shobha Rani, a factory worker, told Press TV.
India has the second highest economic growth in the world, but some 500 million people in the country live in poverty.

India’s newly-elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised progress and prosperity for all but has not clearly clarified how his government intends to achieve the goal.
.
“The new government has been in power for just two months. It is difficult to say how the new government is going to address many of these issues. All we have are statements of intent; the same statements were made before the election and after the election,” said Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, an economist.
