The military intervention at the behest of the peoples wishes and will is welcomed in Egypt.
Mashallah!
In the 21st century Islamist governments, whose origins are linked to the British Empire, with their desire to weaken Egyptian nationalism from the 1920's...........have no place in Egyptian politics, or the politics of all 57 Muslim majority county's.
Religion should be kept out of politics in the modern Secular era.
The attack on the peaceful demonstrators that killed 51---55 people, was a false flag operation involving masked gunmen on motorcycles with links to outside foreign entities. It is clear the professional Egyptian military do not wish to massacre their way into power, no more than Assad wants to behead, rape, murder, poison gas his own people.
Now what is required is the complete dismantling of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, forever. Let us not forget that some of the killers of Anwar Sadat, not arrested by Egyptian security forces sought refuge in the UK, and were given asylum. It is easy for the MB to take money from Iran and Saudi Arabia and run a charity for the poor providing free food, education, healthcare for some Egyptians, BUT it is quite another for the MB to run a sophisticated 5000 year old civilization that presently faces multiple changes from over population, water shortage, food importation to chronic corruption. Islamist governments, as Mullah Iran has shown cannot solve difficult national problems.
Some of these misguided Western countries with arrogance will shed a tear for the MB, forgetting that under their one year rule Egypt was sliding into total chaos, lawlessness and national division. Unemployment sky rocketted, inflation sky rocketed, the shops were empty and crime filled the lawless streets.
Democracy as an Ideal cannot be practiced if the country CLEARLY fails under it.
In addition a consolidation of power.......and the closing of certain embassies/consulates...notably the Iranian, Qatar embassies. All foreign nationals need to be monitored, and tourism curbed for the sake of national security.
National elections should be held in one year so that Egypt can try democracy again, but without the Islamist parties.
