Russian convoys have greater protection.

Though cheap drones are the better option, as they can cover a greater area than helicopters (drone swarms) and the information from drones are instantly available to ground operators.

A helicopter under attack may not be available to speak to ALL in the convoy in the way drones can.

Helicopters are an old Soviet-Afghan era method of patrolling the land, that became vulnerable to Stinger missiles from 1984.

The KA-52 Aligator is also very expensive at $15 million a roll, whereas drones are cheap at $500 only.

Old habits die hard.

After 67 days of the 'Special security operation'  WAR AGAINST NATO........there is an awakening. This is good, as this War can go on for a long time and Russia must reinvent itself towards a successful war economy.
