Chinese President Xi Jinping is on a three-day visit
to India which will focus on significantly ramping up trade and
investment, besides addressing the contentious border issue that has
seen occasional flare ups between the two Asian giants. Below are the 10
Chinese and Indian priorities:
1.
China plans to invest in bullet and other high-speed
trains and work on the metro train system across 50 cities within the
country, where Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) projects are being
planned.

Chinese investments stand at $400m, mostly in Gujarat.

India-China trade stood at $66.4bn last year, heavily skewed in China's favour.

Major Chinese thrust in India's railway upgrade expected.

India will seek to learn from Chinese expertise and achievements in mass affordable housing.
